Rubber on reins perished.

I have a hand made bridle that is about 14 years old but in perfect condition except for the rubber on the reins which has now started to perish. The rubber is worn where I tend to hold the reins the most and it is starting to disintergrate into a sticky mess.

Now I know that in most cases it would probably be better to just buy a new pair of reins but my bridle is a distinctive brown and I am not going to find a pair of off the peg ones to match. So does anybody know of a saddler who could re-rubber my reins!

Would think that most local saddlers could? Alltho rubber may not be same brown as before, I would ring and ask!
