I am looking to add rubber to my existing sand school, but whats the difference between rubber chips and crumb?

Its a 50m by 25m school and quotes for both seem to come back about the same.

Also does anyone else use netting/gauze around the inside of the fencing of their school? A few people have recommended it to stop weeds getting in, sand getting blown around when very windy etc.

please help a very confused one :)

We have eastern waste disposal near us who do the rubber chips, they came in about £2k plus delivery to add a 2" layer to the school.

efr recycling have quoted £1.5k for rubber crumb delivered.

they are both relatively local companies to me, any further afield companies and the price rises due to delivery.

Make sure the rubber you buy is screened to remove fine powders. If it isn't the bulk of the load will be useless powder rather than chip.
