hi,
We have recently got back into work with oscar after 10-12 weeks off because of sidebones. When i ride him he tends to rub his bit on his leg or on a post, or anything thats around quite a bit. I was just wandering why he did this? any ideas? thanks sophie x

All of my horses have always tried to rub their bits on me or a post, leg etc after I've ridden. I guess its because they don't like the saliva they produce and try to rub it off. As long as his mouth isn't being rubbed by the bit, I don't think its anything to worry about.
