Got to the yard and did all the usual stuff, tacked up, rode about 100 metres down the road - horse broken!
. Our track is really stoney so thought to start with that it was just that - she always struggles on it - and the farriers due. Got to the nice grass edge and she's still struggling so got off and checked her over. She isn't lame but has slight arthritis that TBH doesn't bother her - she struggles jumping but other than that she's ok, or usually is. It's the first time I've ever noticed any problems when light hacking
Then my mum who has been very kind helping with our livery - my sister and I share a private yard and have struggled since somebody left - has said she can no longer help which means we are probably going to have to move. Don't get me wrong, I'm really grateful for my mum's help, just sad that it's all going wrong. What doesn't help is that my OH has gone off on one and said my poor mare with her bad knees will be put in a horrible boggy field with no shelter or storage because it is cheaper so we've had a huge argument
