I am one of a group of five people at my yard that run a job service for the other liveries, One particular pony is very rude and unplesant to handle both with us and her owner, this morning whilst I was opening the field gate she was rearing up and throwing her weight around, then refused to go through the gate and ran off up the yard! took me 20 minutes to catch her as she was trying to kick me etc, She has never been this bad with me before, but has with the other's, we have all told her owner how difficult she is to which her owner just laugh's. I am not paid enough to get hurt but am not wanting to say I will not turn her out unless there is no other option, The mare is 5yo and her owner has had her since birth. does anyone have any idea's what we can all do together to improve her behavior? Thanks.
