Rug alterations Newport / Chepstow area

Does anybody of anyone in the Newport / Chepstow area who can do a minor rug amendment for me? It's just rubbing a bit where the chest fastenings are so I thought of maybe sewing a bit of fleece on the inside to make it softer. I'm too rubbish at sewing to manage that myself though! If anyone knows someone I'd be really grateful. Thanks.

The Horse Rug Laundry based in Caldicot can do this. Either google them or look them up on Facebook. They also have local dropoff/collection points too. They are very reasonable and offer a very good service with a quick turnaround.

Is it worth trying a lycra bib? Probably about the same cost and you could use it under any rug. Love mine, and I just have a cheapy Roma one!

Thanks both. I know of the Horse Rug Laundry but didn't know they did repairs too. I have another rug that needs cleaning so that could definitely be an option. I'd always shied the bibs for no good reason other than I don't like they look of them and I've never had a problem with shoulder rubs. I did see a Roma one for £3 today though. It'd almost be rude not to try it at that price!
