Hi All

I recently bought a no fill horseware t/o with cotton lining. The first night my horse had it on when i came to get him in it was soaking wet inside - the lining was wet yet the outside was dry, i presumed it must be leaking - i put it over a fence and poured water over it as with a hosepipe and it didn't let any water in. Mystery i thought - put it on again last night and exactly the same happened!

He can't reall be too hot as its cold on a night and its a no fill sheet - any ideas?? and can i say the rug is faulty if it doesn't leak?

thanks :)

I rekon it must be sweat. Don't underestimate how good your horse is at keeping warm. Although it is nearly oct and there can be a cool breeze, it is still very mild, esp with winter coats starting to come through. If I put a turnout on my mare if it is warmer than about 8 then she sweats up even just grazing! She is a v cozy horse all by her self!

certainly sounds like it must be sweat, as if it didnt leak with a hose then its very unlikely to be from rain. although it could be that prolonged rain has just leaked through but then i would expect some water on the outside. your lucky yours doesnt require a rug...mine is a wuss in MWcombo outdoors and MW indoors at night has been since last weekend its not even october!
