My latest rug storage transformation.

Easy to access, hang up, find which rug you want and no they don't fall off because of the way the hangers are balanced and the metal is ridged.

I know we hadn't used the previous hanger correctly buy we found it too difficult to get the rugs on and off hanging them full length. Plus if you didn't want the one on top you had to remove loads to get to the one you did want.

That is gloriously OCD, but how/where will you dry any wet rugs? Or do you have space elsewhere to do that?

It looks fab and I am rather envious. Mine have to go on a scaffold pole in the stable or else in a large trunk if out of season.

We have a different system for wet rugs.

I have two poles fastened horizontally, parallel to each other in the ceiling.
Then I use two old broom handles into which I have screwed one cup hook in the end and one in the side.

I then loop the fillet string ring over the side hook and use the top hook to attach the pole and therefore the rug to the parallel poles in the ceiling. That way the rug gets air to both sides.
