No rugs seem to fit my horse well! She isnt wide chested but she is deep from whither to front of chest. rugs usually slip behind her whither and strangle her.. Weatherbeeta seem the best fit but not great! Any help??

If she's over 6'3" then the rambo XL is a fantastic turnout rug, and well worth the expense. They fit my larger girl perfectly.
The Rhino wug might be a slightly cheaper alternative as they fit higher on the neck.

The only other rugs I've found that are 'ok' fit are weatherbeetas, which doesn't really help you!

So far the only rugs I have found that will fit my ID's chest are the ones from Horseware. So far he has three, all Amigos in differing weights. Im going to try Premier Equine and see if they are generous enough at the front .

I've got their travel/stable rug, and I wouldn't like to use it for turnout as it's tight round the front, and bunches up over the back

Rambo XL rugs - fantastic fit and they are on their third year and not a tear on them (kiss of death saying that, will get home tonight and find it shredded)

Blimey Fairhill she must be one heck of a chunk....I thought my lad was built!!!
..............
Thanks for the Premier recommendation by the way, that saves me some worry!

PG - Ive just ordered the fleece lined stable/travel rug from PE, I shall report back. Its based on the original Buster fleece design which does fit the big lad so fingers crossed!

The shire x cyldesdale will only fit in the rambo xl's properly and is seriously chunky with huuuuuge shoulders (and bottom!)

The other is Welsh D x CB x ??? and isn't as chunky, but is a very odd shape - thick neck, upright shoulders, deep body... it makes rug buying interesting. I tried on every rug on the yard last year to find out which makes suited her best

I'm hoping she's finished filling out now

Rambo all the way!

Lance got a Derby House full neck one last year, tight wasnt the word!

A few people at my yard have Premier Equine too, Im thinking of trying them.

Fal rugs are really good for wider horses. I tried the standard Rhino / Rambo rugs on my horse (Dutch WB) but they were too shallow. The Fal fit perfectly and are very hard wearing.
