Hi We have recently bought our first horse who is 16.2 and a thoroughbred/hanovarian. He has been wearing a heavyweight turnout rug but I now need to change him to a lightweight, that is suitable for an additional rug underneath in case we have some chillier days. I already have a weatherbeeta Landa standard neck lightweight but would like to buy one either with a detachable neck or combo. Any recommendations please? I dont want to spend more than £70 - less if poss!

Many thanks

:)

Get a neck cover for the rug you have and buy a Rambo Duo Liner, 200g, will cost about £35 or so. It will clip on the back ends of the rug where the fillet string goes and fastens at the chest with velcro, for those chillier nights you mention. I use them in this way and it doesnt matter if its not with a Horseware rug, they do the job and you dont have any additional belly straps dangling which I hate and are an extra hazard where legs are concerned.

The liners come in 100, 200, 300 and 400g weights so see which one you think appropriate.
