had a text today from another livery to say our pony had got her rug off . expecting to find it trashed..it was however all still done up except that the fillet string had snapped.

so for the life of me I cannot work out how she got out of it! any ideas?

so the neck velcros were still done up..the two front straps and the surcingles...?

One of my mares did it once, my 1st thought was someone had stolen the rug off her back but I found it in a heap in the field, all straps intact and not a mark on it. No idea how she did it.

It must be a mare thing! My old mare did just the same in the field a few years ago. All straps still done up - even the legs straps  Would have loved to see her do it - she was very smug when I brought her in! :D:D

Head down, shake, wiggle, repeat till it's over their head and step out of sircingles? I don't know I've never seen it happen but I imagine that's what I'd do if I were a horse pulling a houdini :D
Impressive trick tho! :D

Kali's done it more than once . . . only in his stable though. But then he's a monkey anyway . . . always playing with, chewing, chucking about anything within reach - so I probably shouldn't have been surprised.
