The premier equine rugs, my fave, look like he's dressed up in his fathers clothes ... Too long and come down to his knees. Any thoughts? I'd prefer a ruggng system :)

I have just got my chunky 14.1 lad weatherbeeta Landa's, one light weight and one 100g which is light/medium. I don't think he will need a heavy wight. I am pleased with he fit as they have plenty of chest and shoulder room without coming down too low. Sensible colours and 20% of at my local tack shop.

I'm really pleased with the rambo duo rug. Fits my 14hh cob really nicely as a 5 foot 6. Not too long, just covers his shoulders. You can add liners (100g, 200g, 300g) and the outer is 100g itself. The rug is really good quality but it is expensive (£261). I agree, the weatherbeeta rugs are also good and cheaper too :)

£261 - Ouch - perhaps when my lottery numbers come up.....

Depends how chunky your cob is!

My old tank-like boy was always most at home in Shires, but he needed the depth.

Current boy looks like he's wearing a dress in a Shires, so he tends to have Amigo. I've just ordered a couple of Swish rugs for him, too, as there seems to be some good reviews about them.

The best rug I have ever got to fit my cob was a weatherbeeta light weight. He thought it was a nice idea to go for the ripped look though.
I have recently purchased another one but a MW with a neck in a Joules spotty design.
