Anyone got any inspired ideas about what to do with old torn rugs? OH suggested using my tatty ripped Masta TO as a waterproof cover for the BBQ!

Any other ideas?

Took the metal off and used them to cover the pickup windscreen in the bad weather, bit smelly but stopped the door locks freezing as well as keeping all windows clear of ice

I'm lucky as my Mum has an industrial sewing machine so I keep wrecked rugs to patch better ones. Also keep all the clips etc for spares too.

The sewing machines normal job is making wedding dresses so I feel sorry for any brides that have mud and horse hair stitched in to them

(not really, she does clean it fully after doing the rugs!)

I use mine to insulate my Guinea Pig hutch- an old stable rug on top, covered with an old turnout, then two old turnouts wrapped around the sides and front at night time. (hutch is 5ft long by 2ft deep, with its back to a wall- is felted anyway but the rugs give them extra warmth!)
