There is a horse in the field next to my 3 year that has ripped the lining in his 2 day old rug! Is there anything worse (but safe) that I can coat my rug in to prevent this horse destroying my brand new rugs? Moving paddocks isn't an option

At my old yard my pony went through loads of rugs.

I started buying Weatherbeeta with the rip stop and they stopped disintegrating.

They really work.

Now the pony loves rolling and they stay on great and don't get trashed.

My friend used to put Cribox on her horse's rug to discourage the rug ripper. Is a bit messy tho' :)
She also used cheap spray perfume. He smelled like a tart but it was effective. :D
