Surprisingly enough my horses rugs havent been ripped at all this winter, until about a week ago. suddenly him and another horse in his field have started to rip each others rugs.
is there anything i can put on it to put them off biting each others rugs as i dont fancy having to repair a lot of rugs really!

I am having the same problem with my naughty New Forest holding onto the girls rugs and tanking down the field pulling at them. It drives me mad.

I have cribox but was worried it would damage the rugs and affect the water repellency does anyone know if this is the case?

Apart from that they'll all have to go starkers......... :( but even then the girls get bold patches from where he bites them. Boys huh!!!

We had one that used to hang of the tail flaps - painted that bitter tasting stuff for nail biters (human!) on to it - seemed to put him off! Might not be any good if yours bites the whole rug though, you'd need a lot of it!
