Currently looking for a new medium weight for my NF as i've recently fully clipped him and like to have spares for drying etc :) :o

Am a massive fan of the horseware range and have narrowed it down to these two (Please see below)

Which would you choose?

Am leaning towards the Rhino as I think its a better quality rug and I already have horseware liners so could use them with it too :p

Amigo- http://www.hopevalleysaddlery.co.uk/product-detail.asp?ProductId=132

Rhino- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....akeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en

Thanks :D

I have always had horseware rugs but find the new rhino rubs my tbs mane and there is a gap between the neck cover and the rug when he is grazing!! Not impressed with it... And when I sent feedback to horseware got a v rude email back!!!

I would have the rhino. Iv had lots of horseware rugs, and they are great, but iv had issues with the Amigo neck cover coming adrift a bit too easily. Also, if you have the liners, it will be so much more adaptable for whatever winter weather is thrown at us!

Of those 2 I would say Rhino...have you looked at Mark Todds? I have the autumner one (along with a few others) and at 150g it is lovely, has lasted forever and still looks like new! never leaked!

Also like the look of the Swish rugs

ps - I only use amigo or mark todd or masta on my mare as she is narrow and everything else seems to rub!

I have had both and prefer the amigo even though the rhino is meant to be better. I dislike the front fastening on the rhino and found the velcro distorted as hair got into it but do not have that problem with the amigo. I only use the rhino as a last resort now.

I've just got the rhino. Managed to get a hardly used one off eBay :) it's lovely and fits my mare like a glove. I was toying with the amigo but the rhino came in cheaper.

After many years and many different brands of rugs I have learnt that as long as you don't have a destructive horse (or field mates) then it pays to dividends to invest in decent turnout rugs. I now only buy Horseware Rambos. My horse lives out 24/7 and the Rambos have always proven the most hardwearing and the most waterproof.

I have an old purple Rambo Wug, which I have had for about 7 years. It gets washed every spring and bar a couple of new straps is looking good as new, and it's still waterproof. I bought a heavyweight Rambo Classic last winter and a mediumweight Rambo Classic this winter. Wouldn't buy anything else. They're quite expensive but last for years on a placid horse!

Needs to be Horseware as nothing else fits him! Really like the Rhino and as most of you have confirmed, its better quality, but for some strange reason keep going back to the Amigo

ARRGHHHHH don't know what to do!

I've just got the amigo, the horseware liners can be used with it as well so got a 100 gm one to try. The rugs a lovely fit though the liner seems short but I guess that's because it can't pole out from under the rug.

I have a rhino lightweight and that is a great fit - waterproof in the heaviest downpours and never slips. Horseware MIO arrived on Fri - lovely fit length wise but a little short on the belly - not sure if others have found horseware rugs to be the same but might be worth bearing in mind.

I have a few Rambo wugs which are now about ten years old and still fully serviceable and don't leak. You get what you pay for but the Rambos last for years. I actually don't like the rhino turnouts very much as find the fabric tends to pull slightly. The amigos also rip very easily. Personal choice is always a fal pro or Rambo as they have such long lives!
