Got a phonecall from OH to say that Hillock's rug had been stolen from his back in the night.
Since he is getting older and his legs have a tendancy to swell I have been on a mission to design a holistic regime which makes him as free and supple as he can be. So he has beeen turned out and night and has only been given a trace clip and is really well rugged with a neck cover and comes in and has his leg wraps on.
I am going mental on the phone F***** and blinding about scum and who the hell would do that. OH says that whoever took it must have done it fairly lateish as he wasn't that wet as they had left his Mark Todd stable rug on which was under his heavyweight NZ.
I am fuming, worrying about how I am going to get him a new rug as I am at work and worrying because the out at night routine was working so well. then worrying that they would take other rugs from the stabled horses etc, etc, etc!
Just about to ring the police and thinking I will come on here and warn people in our area when...
OH rings me to say that actually they have found his rug in a heap in the corner of the field. All the straps bar one are undone so we can now add Houdini to Hillock's list of talents.
