Have had 5 Rugs destroyed by rats this year already, so looking for the best rat proof storage options for several of 6'9/7ft rugs, mouse proof too as I must feed the yard cats much 😂

An old chest freezer is a good option - you can sometimes find them cheaply on eBay or FB marketplace. Or an old metal travel trunk, but they tend to be smaller so you'd need more than one for your rugs.

I keep some of mine in old chest freezers (found for free on Freecycle). I’ve also got some old wheely bins but they’re more of a pain to find what you’re looking for. For the rugs we’re using at a certain time we have a strong plank suspended from the roof which the rugs get thrown over.

I have one of those metal racking unit thingies (very helpful description I know! 🤣) and I store my rugs on the top, 1st shelving, 2nd shelving and 3rd shelving.

It keeps them out of the way from being eaten and also very easy to grab the one that you want quickly :)
