Just to spread the word to people in the east sussex area , but particually around Heathfield/Uckfield. I live in Waldron which is between the two and yestyerday as I was leavind the house I noticed a large 4x4 parked in the gateway to the field where my two horses and 4 sheep are out at the moment , thought this a bit odd so decided to drive that way to the shops. As I got close two men jumped out of the field into the car which was already being driven away by a third. All livestock ok (smaller horse very upset) but one of the turnout rugs was laying on the ground inside the gate , not a mark on it and all buckles , clips etc undone , they had only been out 1 hour! I wonder how that happened! 4x4 was king cab style possibly a nissan navara , silver , and newish...too flustered and disbeliving to get the plate but police informed . Look out

Just a note - use black indelible marker to put your postcode in big letters on the outside of the rugs, or they nick the ones the horses have on which are often older ones, then wait for you to replace them with nice new rugs and come back for the new ones. Barstewards
