Turnouts I have a rain sheet combo, a medium weight with detachable neck, heavyweight standard neck, heavyweight combo and fly rug. Indoors I have a fleece, a lightweight standard neck, an under rug half neck that doubles up as a medium weight, a heavyweight combo and a waffle rug. Then he has a Newmarket exercise sheet, a rainsheet and a shower proof Hi vis exercise sheet. It doesn't sound that bad written down like that but it's a joke at the yard how many I have as mine gets cold very easily! I did sell a couple earlier in the year though :)

Both of mine have 2 lightweight rainsheets, a medium weight field rug with detachable hoods (kitty only wears the hood in the worst weather) 4 mw/hw stable rugs between them plus a sweat/fleece rug each. we have one hiviz waterproof exercise sheet and one newmarket exercise fleece (these are the ones that will definately be used the rest are a collection of slightly too big/small and on their last legs rugs that can be used in emergencies) :)

I have far too many to even remember what's there, I seem to have an incredible collection of fleeces.

Don't worry though he doesn't wear them all at once ;)

Not too many :

1 fly rug
1 fleece combo
2 LW combo turnouts
1 MW combo turnout
1 MW stable rug

When its really cold I use the fleece as an extra layer under the MW stable or MW turnout, could really do with another MW or HW turnout though......

Two sweetitch hoodies each.
One summer rain sheet.
One 250g turnout with neck (and an older shabby version kept for really wet weather when the rugs haven't dried).
One 350g turnout with neck.
One good fleece for drying them off.
One fluro exercise sheet.
One medium weight stable rug with neck.
One lightweight stable rug without neck. (Don't tend to use stable rugs nowadays)

A few other older rugs that I don't like as much or that have shrunk and that should really be sold!

Like Polarskye I have far too many for the elderly IDxT'bred. Whenever I buy a new rug the long suffering OH says "Put that one on the bed and chuck the old duvet on the horse"! The Sec A only has one......for emergencies.

lol

In our house all thin rugs cost £10 and all thick rugs cost £35, all saddles (and yes there are several) have all been 'bargains' and anything else is bought for pocket money. Thats my story and I am sticking to it lol

Mmmmm now baby had at final count clearing her stuff - 3 turnout of varying thickness. 1 sexy leopaod print rain sheet. 2 stable rugs 2 fleeces and 2 flysheets. Not bad for a horse that only ever wore a fly sheet an went el naturelle in winter :) i gave a lot of unused rugs to charity :)

Turnout

1 no fill turn out & 2 lightweight turn out rugs (1 is very light weight, 1 is about 180g).

He has a fleece, fleece/mesh cooler & lightweight stable rug.

That's it! I'm hoping the still fit, as he's matured & muscled up - really hope he hasn't outgrown them!

Oh I feel better now ;). Plus, forgot to include two flysheets - which brings my total to 31.

Like others, I keep the true costs of my rug addiction from my long-suffering OH.

. . . aaaaaaand I've just bought two more :(. A medium-weight turnout with detachable neck, and a medium-weight stable rug with detachable neck . . . and I'm currently watching a neck cover on eBay because it matches one of his HW stable rugs.

Sits on hands.

ROFL

Older horses have 1 fleece, 2 turnouts and 1 rainsheet each and only wear them in the very worst weather. The youngsters haven't got any yet and will have to make do with cast-offs if they need them before we've got round to buying something for them. But watching them play, I think they're safer without.
We also have hi-viz exercise sheets.

Ah but if the question had been ... "how many rugs does each of your horses own?" the answer would have been pathetic lol! Mine only have 1 turnout rug each and a repaired spare :biggrin3:

I've run out of cupboards to squeeze rugs into, they fall on me when I open the doors!

Pony has a sensible amount:
1 lightweight amigo
1 mediumweight without neck
1 mediumweight combo
1 stable rug for when turnouts get soaked through
1 cooler (very rarely used!)

Horse 1 hasn't been around long but already has a ridiculous collection:
Thermatexy exercise sheet
Yellow hi viz waterproof exercise sheet
Yellow hi viz mesh exercise sheet
Pink hi viz mesh exercise sheet
Red exercise sheet
Newmarket exercise sheet

Amigo lw turnout
Premier equine LW with det neck
PE 75g with det neck
PE 100g with det neck
PE 200g w/ det neck
PE 300g combo
200g stable rug
Cotton cooler
Mesh cooler
Swish thermocell cooler
3 fleeces
Fly rug

........ She without a doubt has a much more impressive wardrobe than I do!!

Horse 3:
5 lightweights without necks
Cooler
1 mediumweight without neck
1 mediumweight with detachable neck
2 fly rugs

..... And that's after a ruthless sort out and without the ones stored in the garage and the ones from my late horse who had 10 fleeces alone! Eek!!!
