Just wondering what people's experiences are of the bags you can buy to wash your rugs in using your home washing machine? I am guessing that my machine won't be big enough to wash all my rugs, but for fleeces/coolers/numnahs I would like to be able to wash them on a regular basis without having to send them away somewhere.

Do these bags stop the hair getting all over the machine effectively, but still enable the rugs to come out clean?

Thanks in advance!

Yes they come out clean, and it stops the buckles clanking against the washing machine as well, i use mine all the time for horse stuff.

Yes, I have one. Very good for protecting your machine. You do get more of the debri sticking to the rugs though as hair and hay stays in the bag, but I give mine a good shake out afterwards, and they're OK.
Before I got the bag, my machine sometimes got blocked up, as my old horse is very hairy.
