so cinfused i am going to order my rigs this year off robinsons, but i don't understand the weights, denier?? mg?? i usually buy them from shops and just see how thick they are there help!!

thanks

Denier is how tough the outer is, and the g/grams is how much filling there is (how "heavy" the rug is). So you're aiming for a high denier outer if you have a rug-destroyer, but they are more expensive and if you're on a really tight budget and have a sensible horse then a lower denier may be ok. Then the weight of the fill depends on if you want a light, medium or heavyweight rug (there are no set rules but Horsewear for example have lightweights with no fill, medium with 200g, and heavy with 370g. Another example is Fal - light is 40g, medium 200g, heavy 350g, and they do even more heavyweight ones in 400g and 450g. They are, I suppose, around the 'generally accepted' standard.)
I am not a rug addict...
