My one horse keeps shredding the other horses rug to the point it cant even be repaired! Any recommendations on tough middleweight rugs that fit well and last well? I have a PE Rug that seems to be tough but don't want to get one at that cost if it inst going to withstand the one horses teeth!!
Thanks in advance!

How about a cheap and cheerful l/w over the top?

I've found this never works - cheapy rugs are usually only 600 denier so rip really easily. I've found having a cheapy heavy rug with a strong lw rug on top works better!

As for the rug ripper, go for rugs that are a minimum of 1200D. Some go up to 1600D now and are fantastic. Even if he does rip these they shouldn't tear and rip along the rug, the damage would be minimal. I've a serial rug wrecker and ultra strong rugs are the only thing that last with him. Initially more expensive but can be repaired. Cheaper rugs just got destroyed beyond repair.

Does he bite in any particular place? Could you put some anti crib-bite stuff on it?

My friend had a young horse that would regularly try to play with other horses and would bite their rugs. She threw him in with a dominant horse for a while who didn't 'play'. Sorted out the young horse fairly quickly!
