Ruggles V Big Horse Shop

The Twit and The Moomin have declared war if I attempt to shove them into fly sheets that cut their windpipes off and give them a tutu look this summer.

Any recommendations for fly sheets for the ample of beam ? I don't mind paying for quality, neither are rug wreckers but they do deserve fit and comfort after several summers of being squeezed into ill fitting amigos.

Can't comment on fly rugs, but having tried both I would say that the Big Horse Shop ones come up bigger in stable and turnout rugs - I buy the draft cut ones.

Ruggles heavy horse fly rugs came up tight when I bought last year. Much more so than their standard range

I use Epic Classic from Big Horse Shop on my HW cob. Ruggles wouldn't even fasten, and is currently being used on a dainty Arab. For Big Horse Shop, I'd recommend going down a size. Blue is 6'3" in most rugs, and the Big Horse Shop zebra fly rug fits her perfectly in 6'.

Thank you, both of them wear a Shires no fill no neck turn out at 7 foot and are fine in them, so would you suggest 6'9" for a big horse Epic classic fly sheet ? Both of their necks are massive.

I've never tried Blue in a Shires so I couldn't say for sure, but I'd lean towards the 6'9". They really do come up big.

Another vote for Big Horse Shop. Good quality, nice deep cut rugs with generous tail flaps. We have Shires so 7' 3" and 7' 6" used. Haven't tried fly rugs yet but if they are the same cut they should be comfortable.
