Hello,
Does anyone have any good suggestions for lightweight fleece type stable rugs which don't act as velcro to every shaving in the stable?

I have poly/nylon type stable rugs for once it gets properly cold /she's clipped. I'm looking for something not overly warm which could be used if there's a chill in the air /after . I currently have a thermatex which I like as it's breathable but mine is more repair than rug.

Any thoughts?

Have a look at some of the jersey coolers, much less like bedding magnets although I don’t think they’re as effective as coolers they make a nice easy to wash underlayer/something when it’s a bit chilly but not properly cold

Ruggles do - or did - a lightweight stable rug. I've a grey one which is really light - as light as a waffle type but has that satin like outer which the shavings don't stick to.

I wouldn’t go for a fleece they make bad stable rugs, stretch and attract bedding etc.

Have a look at something like the Mark Todd Universal sheet, it’s like a heavy weight summer sheet and will do the job you want nicely

Brilliant, thank you for the recommendations. I'll have a look at Mark Todd and ruggles, they sound like the sort of thing I'm after.

I use either the Weatherbeeta checked summer sheet or I have the Masta protech sheet. The masta sheet is a really light, soft mesh sheet but apparently has ceramic fibres that help keep muscles warm. Whatever it is it really works and keeps mine warmer than wearing a fleece and more comfortable. It's cheaper than Back in Track which I believe is similar
