how many rugs are your neddy's wearing in and out?? anyone thinking of when you are changing the routine around to out at night?

my cob is naked in the stable and has a medium turn out (lightest turnout he has!)

TB down to 1 medium stable rug, light turnout. couldnt decide wether it was warm enough at night to take a rug off. but he was getting rather warm in t he mornings

My cob is clipped and is in at night with MW rug. She has been going out for the last week either naked, in LW or in MW as the weather keeps changing.

Hopefully will swap to ou at night and in during the day at the end of April (weather depending).

My boy currently has his MW on in the field unless like today, it is mild. At night he has a LW rug on if the temp is set to be 4 degrees or lower...otherwise he gets sweaty. I have a LW turnout on order and hoping for it to arrive soon so he can have that on...and stay cleanish!

One has a hunter clip and in the stable she is in a m/w at night and a l/w in the day, she goes out for a few hours most days with a l/w or m/w turnout depending on how warm it is.
The other has a low trace clip and is out 24/7 with a field shelter in a m/w turnout at night and a l/w or m/w during the day.
Having said that today they are both out without rugs as it's so warm!

One is in a heavyweight turnout (400g) day and night with a unlined neck cover

The other is in a medium weight 300g rug with a thicker neck cover.

I will keep the heavyweight on as this horse will swap to a boett all summer, so has to get used to being hotter.

My welshie and my big hairy fat old boy have gone native too!!

Still got old hairy skinny boy in his heavyweight at night (he lives out) and woosy chestnut mare in heavyweight with neck cover!!!! But both were naked today!!!

My 5 are out 24/7. Old native girl has been naked all winter. Chaser clipped native mare has just been unrugged this weekend - as she keeps condition far too well and the grass is coming through. The only ones that are still rugged are the youngsters and the one thats going to the nps show at the end of the month - and they're in all middle weights with full necks
