rugs for cobs what do you use?

I need a turnout for a deep chested and short backed cob. Ive tried a few but can't seem to find one that fits. What do you use?

I know this thread has been done before, but i can't find it.
 
I'll second Saxon rugs, I also use Rhinegolds for my chunky native, they're the only ones that fit him properly without slipping...
 
I have always had good luck with Shires, Axiom and Weatherbeeta rugs fitting chunky cobs - my Axiom rugs are my current favourites, and the ones I have had last forever at a fraction of the price of the WB rugs :)
 
Big Horse Shop rugs are about the only thing that fits my short backed HW Cob! Here he is in a 6' turnout

Weatherbeeta and Rhinegold and .........dare I whisper it ......Derby House *ducks rotten tomatoes* fit my short-coupled chunky boy but as we have said on here before the fasteners are complete rubbish so prepare for the hooks to break .
 
Depends whether you're talking about deep chested or broad chested. For deep, Masta tend to be best. For broad (like my cob), I've found Rhino, Rambo, Fal and the occasional Shires to be pretty good.

I have never got a Horseware of any description to fir my show cob - too narrow in the chest and too long in the neck - he's 15.1 hh and takes a 6 ft 9"!
 
Mark Todd, Mark Todd and only Mark Todd. I have a really punchy, muscular cob - who is also very active and likes flying about. I tried one or two other brands when I first had her, but then reverted to MTs (which I'd used successfully on a raking TB).

Mark Todds are roomy, have shoulder pleats, and a good depth - I hate to see horses with belly showing beneath the bottom edge.
