Am awaiting the arrival of a pony. Will be getting her a middleweight rug. She is a 13hh pony very chunky upfront. I know amigo do a good fit for this type of build but have also seen some really good deals on requisite (robinsons) rugs and derby house own rugs. Anybody used either would they fit this build of pony ok? Any other suggestions for a good budget rug?

Robinsons rugs don't fit my chunky 14.1hh ponio I'm afraid, but you could try getting a chest expander, I have one and it does make rugs that woulnd't otherwise even do up fit him, BUT when it rained it goes soaked through and literally took weeks to dry!!

I find Mark Todd rugs fit well, there might be some offers on www.equestrianclearance.com or Premier Equine rugs are meant to be quite roomy in the chest and they've got a sale on.

My Highland wears derby House own make rugs, plenty of room around the chest and bum. I found the Requisite rugs weren't deep enough on her
