Just wondered what rug would you put on your neddy's in this hormonal weather ...? Bcos it is warm but p*ssing it down..?
xxx

well 2 of mine were cold and shivering as the rain had gone through their rugs. One has got a fal bulldog 200g on and the other has got a taka combo heavy on just cos it was the only rug handy that had a neck cover on.
Its quite cold here now and its still pissing it down so I dont think either of them will mind having a heavier rug on. Its due to get really cold winds tonight round here

This weather is doing my bonce in.I have had a LW on my lad when weather is really bad but everytime i check him he has been cold to touch so today when it has pished down i put a MW on him and now the sun has come out AAARRRGGGHHH.

2 of mine wear lightweights when its raining, 'cos they're wimps and will shake if they get wet!
Retired pony doesn't wear one, apart from the last 2 days 'cos its been cold, wet and windy!
Today one of mine wnet out in middleweight and came in at lunchtime 'cos yesterday she was shaking like a leaf when she came in having worn her l/w all day! x

My TB is out naked, but if I were to rug, it would be a lightweight. He has a field shelter he uses though, so not necessary at the moment.

mine is naked, and was quite offended when I brought him into his table for half an hour this evening, he was much happier when back out in the rain...what a weirdo! Think he'd be deeply offended if I went anywhere hear him with a rug at the moment.

Im afraid I put winter rug on tonight on my chestnut in sig. She was freezing this morning, really shivering

so decided to put warm rug on tonight so she could stay out.

Nothing on the weekend, but it only really started chucking it down when I got her in. I rode her in the drizzle so popped a cooler on in her stable afterwards....

Mine were in L/W but were a little cold this morning...as it rained heavily here all night.
So I put M/W with hoods on two of them, and a H/W with a high neck on the other....cos it was the only one I haven't had washed yet.
I alternate between cooking and freezing them at the moment because the weather is so unpredictable.

Rainsheets in the day (LU only has his if it's torrential & windy though) & in at night. Jim thinks his rainsheet is totally unnecessary because he'd far rather stay in when the weather's like this!

LW on my TB she was shivering earlier ( It was humid yesterday so had fly sheet on her cos flies were dreadful, started rainging this morning, went down by the time she was in the rug was wet and she was cold )

Ours are staying in atm because the weather is so horrible up here!

strong winds, torrential rain and lots of trees have fallen down.

No hacking for me atm!

They are wearing their thin fleece cooler rugs, mainly to keep them clean more than anything!

LW rugs because there is no shelter and its cold and windy. But they have been out naked and will be once the wind has moved out of the north

My lad isn't normally rugged during summer (apart from his sweet itch rug), but he came in tonight really tucked up and shivering like there was no tomorrow

Sooo I was soft, brought him in, stood him under some shelter on the yard and put a cooler and summer sheet on him. Left that on for about half an hour or so until he was reasonably dry, took them off and shoved a Lightweight (unfilled) turnout on just to keep the wind and rain off.

both 20 year olds were shivering and freezing yesterday when i brought them in, so theve both got combo rugs on today. i dont care if im being soft either

Mine went out in MW combos last night, was very wet and windy down here last night, so much so some of the fencing has blown down. They didn't mind....
