Its not long before its going to start getting chilly (sorry to depress!!!), and im fed up of my horse losing 1/2 her mane every winter! She has a combo and rug with seperate neck, and both rub.

Ive not tried snuggy hoods, are they worth the money? Or do you know of any potions!!!

thanks :)

Snuggy hoods do work, we use them on showing highlands at work all winter and never loose any of there manes, helps keep the stable stains of the ponies too!! There the only thing thing thats ever stopped mane rubbing in my experience, i work with horses so around them alot!!

thanks! think I may have to invest in one then!

Someone on here suggested baby oil which I started using on my horses mane halfway through last winter and it certainly helped me save some of his mane!

I have also just invested in a snuggie turn out - they are on offer over the bank holiday and every little helps. However, I was not keen on the sheep/cow indoor ones, so just stuck to the outdoor (with ears and zip - hes going to hate me!)

ooohhh! tell me more! where are they on offer? I must admit I love those snuggy jams!!! I would love to see my crabby ginger nut in the pink one with sheep!!!

I have fab premier equine rugs which I found don't rub, although last year I did invest in a great snuggy hood which is fab used on many occasions.
