I have a falpro silver interactive, it rubs part of the mane every winter taking a fair bit of the summer to grow back. The hood does zip off but i do need a hood on my horse he suffers from a stiff neck so needs to be kept warm. Any ideas please on how to stop this happening. thanks .

Same problem with my fal turnout and weatherbeeta stable rugs...... If you get a solution please let me know!!!!! This year I've give her a high trace clip so far, therefore leaving some hair on her neck so considering going old style and using the classic neck!

Unfortunately I think it's a price you have to pay for a neck cover. I thought my mare had lice when she lost a chunk of her mane in the spring untill I realised it was caused by the pressure point where the neck cover meets the shoulder edge of the rug.

My mares got rubbed 2 years ago because of fitted neck rug i only got it to stop her neck getting dirty, you know the rug shaped white then the rest of the horse being mud coloured her mane as never really come back bottom half sticks up like a zebra never really growing long enough to fall over.
