Cold cooling off??

e.g. if you've got a sweaty horse and then they have to stand in a chilly stable.

I know people rave about thermatex (sp?) and expensive rugs but we use wool rugs and I think they are fab! You can see all the sweat on the outside!

Also, mu hunt coat (100% wool) keeps me soooo warm and dry, but i never get that hot either - natural products can't be beaten IMO!

Ive got a waffle cooler for my lot, does the job. Mae has a fleece cooler, its past its sell by date but i love it too much to chuck it out!!!

Depends how cold it is! Star gets worked pretty hard and can come back hot even with a hunter clip. I tend to use a thermatex most of the time. Otherwise a weatherbeeta fleece does the trick.

cheeky sod! yes I do, if they've sweated up loads and it's cold out I find it works best.

Can't afford these thermatex thingies

despite being clipped out i still have the worlds sweatiest horse! i wash him off quickly in warm water and squeegy and towel him til he's almost dry, then put on a thick fleece rug, and if its really cold i'll put a cotton sheet over the top cos it keeps the draughts out.
dry in no time!
