I recently bought a heavyweight turnout rug, full neck. However its not really that thick. It is ok for now but when it gets colder I'll need a thicker one.
However i dont know how many grams is really thick and i dont know what denier is. Are they both the same thing? Can someone explain it to me?
Thanks
Nickie

Denier is the thickness and strength of the outer fabric, the higher the number the stronger it is.

Medium weight tends to be around 200g/7oz and heavyweight tend to be around the 350g/12oz.

the thickest one that i have is the 450g premier one with a neck. I haven't seen any thicker than that. I only use it when it is really snowy and freezing. Mostly, the 350g is warm enough and she is a woosy tb
