has any one got any winter turn out they could recommend, i am getting guinness a new winter warderobe and need sum ideas, i was think of the shires chillercheeta, what do you guy think...? Also what do you think to under rug that you can buy ...?

IMO the Rambo Duo is unbeatable. Although they seem expensive, if you buy a couple of different liners with them you get four rugs. Also you can wash the liners at home, so you only have to get one NZ cleaned each year (they say you can wash the outer as well but I usually have mine professionally done). They are a good fit, with lots of extras such as three surcingles, shaped leg arches and elastic to go under tail flap, and in my experience are completely waterproof. Can't recommend them highly enough!

I agree with the Rambo Duo recommendation - I have been thrilled with the performance of LBO's - kept him lovely & warm & dry all winter, was an excellent fit & he absolutely loved it! (As far as you can tell! lol)
I have also been very pleased with the somewhat cheaper Rhino Wugs, the original Rambos (purple one) & also the Weatherbeeta Oricans we have had!

I am thinking of getting a rambo duo but the price is putting me off a bit. Premier Equine's winter buster turnout looks good also and is cheaper

premire equine winter and storm buster are brilliant!! i have both for bracken and she loves them!! they keep her toastie and dry! well worth the money!!!

weahterbeeta every time!!!!! I have owed one of mine for 6 years now and it still looks like new and they are very reasonable, i have 5 (well my horse does) Fit him great. What horse is it for? If its not a thoroughbred i wouldn't recommend rambo or any horseware as they a small on the chest, don't fit cobs/ID or anything with abit of substance. But fit TB great. Weatherbeeta and mark todd are good for chest room. My horse is only 15hh ish but takes a 6'3 rug because of his chest! Weatherbeetas are also nice and deep unlike the rambo.

Sorry I'm going to go against what welshies has said

My middleweight ID X with a huge chest had one Weatherbeeta and it rubbed her shoulders raw in one night. The middle velcro bit didn't do up either, and it just generally didn't fit at all round the front. I have Mark Todd light and medium weight rugs for her and they fit really well, and I have a Rhino heavyweight which, although it could be deeper, fits her amazingly well around the front (because it's a size up from her usual rugs as the 6'6" was too short, and also because of that V-front closure). Rambos tend to be a little deeper than Rhinos in my experience.
If you can afford the initial outlay I'd go for the Rambo Duo, my friend has one and loves it. Otherwise consider the Mark Todd or Jumpers Horse Line ones, they are fab for big-chested horses.
