Just got back from burghley and was wondering who else saw the run away digger? It was when poor Dunauger was stuck on the corner (which was horrid, harry was just standing about and i swear to god i thought they were going to have to shoot it at one point). A digger/tractor thing arrived, i guess incase it was needed to pull the jump appart and they parked it on a steep hill near the jump, suddenly there were shouts and it was rolling really fast backwards down the hill with no driver, i guess the handbreak went! It went about 200m then crashed into a lot of parked cars, the one it hit first was a complete wreck! Thank god no one or no horse was behind it and the cars stopped it!!!! It was complete chaos, far to much excitment in 10 mins if you asks me!!

I saw that n a news reel earlier - have just watched the horses round tho and it looked absolutely knackered, no fuel left in the tank

Did anyone see the Land Rover that went splat off the rolling road type thingy at the LR experience?! That thinned out the queue a bit and confirmed many suspicions about their lack of stability etc. Sound like a bit of a hairy day all round.

What an absolute load of b*ll*cks, Landrovers are one of the most stable 4x4s there are

Might have had a little something to do with an experienced driver perchance, if it was a driver experience thing?

Well LR was stationary so can't blame the driver for that and would have thought LR (as in the company) thought it was up to task or wouldn't have stuck it up there. It was on a raised platform that rotated left and right and completely fell to ground on its side with a huge crash. It could have been the platform that failed but either way it could have seriously injured the occupants and killed anyone who was standing below. Am not slagging off Land Rovers - have had them for years though not currently and loved them but there have been criticisms of their stability and all I am saying was this wasn't the best PR!!
