Running costs of a 3.5t lorry

HI all

Was wondering if I could pick the brains of those that have a 3.5t lorry..

I'm thinking of upgrading to one from a trailer and just wanted an idea of rough annual running costs so I can see if its worth it to swop my 4x4 and trailer for one and a car.

I've not had mine a year yet so can only estimate for you!

Fuel wise it's very good, it went from Bristol to Windsor and back (with a horse in for the home leg), approx 200mile round trip, on just over £20 of diesel.

I'm under 25 so my insurance is quite a lot - over £500 a year. I turn 25 in September and can't wait!

Tax is the same as a large car, £180 this year.

MOT same as a car.

Service I'm not sure yet, need to book that!

fuel ecconomy good-mine is older but still does very good mpg-id say over 30.
