Hello,
I'm doing a Fun Fancy Dress (which is optional!) Xmas Dressage comp at my stables and the horse I'm riding has a fairly long, thin, unpulled mane (I'm not allowed to pull it as he isn't mine), so I was wondering would I be allowed to do a running plait on him instead of normal rose buds? It is quite an informal competition for first timers at dressage, and it's optional to plait, so would a running plait be a good option? Thanks

Yes you can use a running plait at affiliated. A number of spanish horses have this as their manes are so long and thick. You don't HAVE to plait at affiliated but its thought of as courteous to the judge. Good Luck with your show lilyoftheincas!! :)
