I bought my horse in from his field 2 days ago just to feed him in his stable and he doesn't stable easily, so trying to ease him into it with some feed! And he just kept snorting, not very loud or long snorts, just short and sharp, then yesterday he was doing the same thing, then he kept trying to itch it on his leg, it looked a tiny bit runny but nothing I would say is that unusual given the weather etc.
I looked inside his nose but spotted nothing unsual, so I am baffled as too what it is, but it is clearly irritating him, I did notice on his lip he had a very unsual round graze that was either fresh, or he had pulled the scab off, as was bleeding. But thats it. It's not something I had come across before and wondered whether it's just the weater causing some irritation, or his hay can be a bit dusty at times. Any thoughts?

probably just the cold weather causing his nose to run, then he scratched it on something and caused the rub. My horse has an itchy nose the best of times but this cold weather is making it run and itch more. So long as it runs clear and he seem happy otherwise I would not worry
