My cob has had runny eyes over the last week, I think possibly due to the wind? What is the best way of treating this?

Get your vet to check them. don't mess around with eyes, they can get worse very quickly and are probably treated simply with some drops/ointment they will give you. I suspect anti-inflammatory drops are probably in order, but I always see the horse prior to prescribing them to check that there are no other causes or ulceration which may be worsened if this type of treatment is administered simultaneously.

Yeah get your vet out to check. My horse had runny eyes around this time last year and I thought it was due to the weather. He ended up having a ulcer and had 4 months boxrest as it woudnt heal. He is now blind behinf in the eye.

I would never take a chance with eyes specially after last year. Always call my vet for advice :D
