Runny Nose - Nice!!

Hey, wondered whether anyone knew what this is?

My mare has a runny nose, its sort of creamy looking and only seems to get worst when she is worked. I soak my feed, but not my hay ( do you reckon its hay thats doing it?) or is it a virus?

I would get the vet to call out, or give them a ring.

Its doing rounds at mo loads of stables same ...put olbas oil drops on her rugs bout 5 drops either side, soak hay a must, if they get chesty / coughing give adult benelyn cough mixture or buttercup syrup i give bout 15ml in 2 feeds a day worked wonders on my mare, an plenty fresh air... take em walkies if no turnout, i wud only call vet if their was a temp and wipe nose often it luks like the virus thats doing rounds to me so dont worry

Merlin had a snotty (creamy colour) nose a few days ago.... nothing since, so not sure if virus or I just got to see something that he has but I just dont catch very often.

Might add that although I dont soak his hay, I do run a hose over it for 10 mins to wet it. This seems to prevent the snotty nose he had earlier in the year.

She wasn't too sure about the olbas oil this morning, she kept turning her nose up (it was really funny)
I'll make sure she has soaked hay from now on, thanks v much.
