Rushing Pony Problem with a twist!!

ok so my friend wants help with her pony again as she thinks her sisters ruined him with jumping
i want to try gridwork ect but the thing is i pretty sure he will refulse the 2nd or 3rd jump what can i do now?
grids would help but hes got the cheeky part of him ;) so?

McTimoney/teeth/tack check then polework and schooling from scratch and freejumping :) Pretty much everything that's been posted before, but simple jumps...nothing big for a long time yet.
 
ditto above really.

get teeth/tack/back checked, and then give him a couple of weeks off jumping completely..just do flatwork and hacking - and then do some polework and small fences until confidence is built. Then work onwards from there :)

Try not to jump too much in one week aswell... i would say once or twice a week.. just so the pony doesn't get bored/overjumped x
 
Jumping a fence on the lunge would be interesting - you would be able to see if the rushing is from the rider (so it wouldnt be present on lunge) or if the rushing is from something pain-related :)
