Has your horse ever experienced them?
My horse was kicked in his hock early summer and now this compensation has localised into his sacroilleac joint.
Having a lot of body work done on him for the next month and then vet reassess, potential steriodal injections.
Thoughts?

not with the horses, but with my dog. i know its completely different. :o

with betty, she wrapped herself around a goalpost at high speed, and damaged the joint, and now has a calcified lump on the joint. it flares up now and again if she does stupid things, or does too much jumping/twisting, in which case she is just given anti inflams, and gentle exercise for a day or so. i hope things are this simple with your horse.

sorry i cant be of any more help. :( all the best, let us know how you get on. ;)

My 16 yr old was diagnosed chronic SI strain and close spinal processes but I've managed it for 6 years and he does most things reasonably well at RC level. Careful management and physio works best. Has had steroids and shock wave therapy twice and various shoeing adjustments. Would have acheived more without having these problems but certainly hasn't been the end of the road by any means :) .

I've posted several times on this - but if you have any specific questions you can PM me.
