Sad dog..

Hey everyone,

So 5years ago my old scotty dog had puppies with a westie ..

Now we had a litter of 7pups, sadly 2 died the biggest boy and the smallest girl (she had 5boys 2girls)..

Now we kept one boy and my grandad kept the only girl .. Now last Thursday my grandad very sadly passed away and now we have lady back ..

We looked after her for a week when he was in hospital a while ago and she went back and has now been with us again for a week two weeks ..

Now over the past couple of days she's not been herself .. Not eating and today she wouldn't go out for her walk .. She stopped and wouldn't walk anymore and came back to the house!

Because she's not eating her normal food I gave her a little bit of cooked chicken etc just to get something into her which she ate ..

Is there anything that we can do to try brighten her up again? I know this may sound silly but I really do think she's sad and not sure what's going on but she's here to stay now.. She loves my dad .. Follows him around everywhere!

shes prob just really confused and thinks she will be going home soon, she will pick up eventually but it may be worth a trip to the vet just in case she has picked up a bug and is ill rather than just sad.....so sorry you have lost your grandad but he will be pleased you are looking after his little girl so well...
