Sad news about my sister's boy

As many of you know, my sister's boy was taken to the vet hospital a week and a half ago after a very bad bout of choke.

The vets kept him in to make sure his digestive system was back in working order before he went home because he still had a sore stomach, but on Friday they discovered he had a displaced colon and this was what had been causing him problems.

He was taken in for surgery on Friday and the operation went well, he came round and was recovering normally; but when he went to get up he had a massive heart attack my sister is devastated, he was her first horse and she'd had him just under a year. They got on fantastically well and would really have gone places.

RIP Tom, you were an absolute diamond and will be sorely missed by all the family, not to mention your many friends and fans at the yard.

I know from experience how devastating a sudden loss can be when you think that the horse is on the road to recovery.
