Sad news

Friends horse had to be put down this morning. Colic. He was well last night anf this morning found to be in terrible pain. Vet called etc. He was a lovely horse. Good night and god bless.

Oh god thats awful, how sad. I found my last horse like that and its horrendous. Give my love to your friend.

I know what she is going through, I lost my mare just like that a fortnight ago. It was one hell of a shock but I keep reminding myself that at least she didn't have a long illness that we had struggled with, the day before she was out in the field grazing with her mates. So sorry for your friend.

Mine too, I found one in his stable who had obviously died in the night of colic a few years ago..if I don't see heads over the doors in the morning I feel physically sick until I have checked them.

A horrible time for anybody...
