finally decided to take the plunge and sell my horse - shed a tear but know i just cant continue to give her the time she needs to complete her education. we run our own business and i have a child and a recent car accident has damaged my back so there is no choice. rode another today and after nearly falling off again yesterday i know i am doing the right thing in getting something to match my ability but why do i feel so sad?!

I can totally understand how you are feeling we sold one of ours last week for the very same reason, matching needs and ability, even though you know its the right thing is makes it no easier and very sad

Im sad to hear that because it sounds from your posts as if you have spent a lot of time and money trying to get her right. Hopefully you will find a lovely home for her and find one that suits you perfectly.

thankyou
i just get upset as i think you need to be responsible about selling her to make sure she finds the best home possible as shes not a simple horse. I feel so selfish to not be able to spend the time getting her right but know that after all the money i spend on her i should enjoy her and at the mo i am not.

Awwwww. You think you will get another one that is a bit more simple and straight forward??

Ps. Im arriving at 9am tomo morning!

Aaah...I know how you feel but for slightly opposite reasons....I'm trying to pluck up the courage to advertise my girly as she is so safe & sane, she has totally restored my confidence and I'm now ready for the next step up....
I know its not easy at all...but it sounds like you are doing the right thing.
