Didn't know her myself but she bred my mare, and did a lot for the breed by the sounds of it.

Hope Mysti and all the other twyford ponies will carry on doing her proud

Very sad indeed

She was a very knowledgable lady, also had Llama's at the farm too when I last went there. Had a couple of her section A's & they were lovely temperament & showed well at top level

Yes we bought my baby sisters first pony from her a good 25 years ago! Cracking pony it was too!

I don't know about the breeding in UK, but there has been several Twyford horses that has been successful and important for the Welsh Mountain pony breeding in Sweden, since at least the 1970's. The first one I came to think of was the Welsh Mountain stallion Twyford My Man, classed as an elite stallion due to his successful offspring, but there's several others, like the mare Twyford Seed, classed as an elite mare.
In fact, after a quick look at the Swedish Welshpony & Cob association's list with approved Welsh Mountain stallions 2013, (if I've counted correctly) out of 20 stallions, more than half of them have parents or grandparents with the Twyford-prefix.
