Had a bit of a rubbish weekend as had to have one of my little gecko's PTS on saturday morning. Checked on him while I changed the water and found him flat out and not moving in his hide with a very swollen belly. First thought was impaction so got him to the emergency vets and they thought either impaction, or something twisted in his stomach perhaps. I decided to just have them put him to sleep rather than make him go through xrays and stuff as there was no saving him and vet agreed he probably wouldnt have been strong enough to survive any further investigation. Poor little guy was suffering at this point so kindest thing was to just PTS :(

So sad as he was such a sweet little person. RIP my little gecko!

I'm so sorry for your loss, RIP little guy. I love geckos they are the cutest little things, never had one as a pet but am always fascinated with them on holiday.

Sadly not much to be done to help when things go wrong I guess.
