Hi all,

I have a 15h quite narrow lad. I have had his saddle checked by 3 different people now all of them say the saddle fits. I know Im not qualified but i know 100% it doesnt fit. It lifts up at the back and slaps his back while in trot - with and without a rider. He is in a Wintec at the moment but with the fitters i have tried several different saddles all of them lift up at the back.

I have been advised to save up for a solution saddle but wondered if there was anything i could do to minimise the slapping going on while i save for his new saddle. Im still riding due to the fact physio has said he has no back issues and the 3 fitters i have had all say it fits. I just feel like i can find a better match for him so hes comfier.

Currently i have a front riser in to try and balance out the saddle so its not lifting at the back as much - this has helped a little bit.

Are the saddlers watching you ride? Shims are the usual go-to for a temporary fix but if its moving on his back that much it can't be comfortable for either of you.

You can pick up plenty of 2nd hand solutions saddles if you find the right FB page.
