Saddle carrier/bags

Does anyone use one?

I'm awaiting my new saddle and due to the high cost of it, I definitely won't be keeping it at the yard. Only problem is I walk to the yard, it's 6 minutes across a couple of fields so need something to carry my saddle in that will enable me to carry it fairly easily, ideally on my back.

Any recommendations?

how about shires? they do some really nice saddle carrying bags...

I got one free when I bought a Collegiate Convertible saddle.

It's really useful and easy to just put over your shoulder and then the saddle is around your upper leg - if that makes sense.

Keeps it clean and protected in the back of the car too.
